Our charitable fundraising partnership.
For more than thirty years, the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) has been supporting athletes, sporting clubs and organisations in their fundraising efforts. The ASF has become Australia’s leading nonprofit sports fundraising body and is the only organisation in Australia with Deductible Gift Recipient status for sport.
The Senior Club’s fundraising partnership with the ASF was introduced earlier this year. This collaboration enables us to raise the additional funds required for us to successfully run our club, while simultaneously contributing to a charity that drives positive social change through sport-focused causes.
Five percent of donations received by our club are directed to the ASF’s Charitable Fund, which supports programmes that promote healthy activity and foster increased participation in sports. It prioritises projects that enhance access to sports for diverse communities and individuals.
At the beginning of the season, in response to player feedback, the Senior Player Assistance Fund was established with the objective of subsidising 2023 registration fees. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, upon closure of the Fund, the Subcommittee was able to offer a $25 subsidy to all players who registered with our club before May 16th!
Going forward, we will be launching the Senior Club Operations Fund which is being established to support the ongoing, necessary day-to-day operating costs required to run our club at a higher standard. Please stay tuned for further details on how you can join us in making a difference.
