The senior squad has received a significant boost with the recruitment of Alex “Crell” Crelley to the Kennel. The 19 year old has moved to Newcastle from Leeton to undertake university education where he will study secondary teaching. Alex was originally born in Newcastle and loves the city so the decision to move back here was easy for him.
The young midfielder has an impressive footy resume having been a member of the GWS Giants’ academy, a member of the Riverina Schoolboys rep side where he won a premiership and a regular in the Leeton-Whitton Crows senior side in the Riverina Football League. Alex’s favourite team is the GWS Giants whilst his favourite player is Patrick Cripps. Both senior coaches Marty and Bucks have been impressed with what they have seen at training so far and look forward to having Alex run through the midfield.
We wish Alex all the very best with his studies and football and welcome him to the Doggies.
