Ben Scowan or “Scowey” is another big bodied midfielder / half forward who joins the Bulldogs for 2019. The 24 year old has moved to Newcastle for work, however is originally from South Australia but most recently lived in Victoria where he played for the Stanhope Football Club in the Northern Victoria KDFL competition.
Scowey’s greatest footballing memory was captaining the first college XVIII Adelaide side and beating Melbourne High School in the national championships at Etihad stadium. Scowey is also a die-hard Western Bulldogs fan and a handy cricketer having played in England in 2016 where he met his current partner whom he has a 1 year old daughter with.
We are pleased to have Scowey at the Kennel and look forward to having him pull on the red white and blue.
